Reknr

Reknr covers crucial issues and opinions that we feel are deserving of greater exposure. We want to offer voices often ignored by the mainstream media a platform on which to publish their ideas to a wider audience. Reknr produces digital campaign material (memes) supporting various grassroots causes, and educational material aimed at helping ordinary people navigate and understand worldwide political/economic issues.

Reknr is a co-operative media group, founded in early 2018 by a small number of activists based in various locations across the UK. The main objective of Reknr is to cover crucial issues and opinions that we feel are deserving of greater exposure. We focus on the news and views that the mainstream media prefer not to, providing original content that cannot be found elsewhere on the internet, TV or in the newspapers. In recent years, many talented writers have come to our attention through social media — voices which tend to be ignored by the British Establishment press. Their views do not always chime with those of the extraordinarily wealthy men who own much of the UK’s corporate media. We want to offer these writers a platform on which to publish their articles so that their thoughts can be experienced by a wider audience. In addition to written content, Reknr produces digital campaign material (memes) supporting various grassroots causes, and educational material (The MMT Podcast, Youtube videos, etc) aimed at helping ordinary people navigate and understand worldwide political/economic issues.

Reknr is entirely dependent on the dedication of its volunteers. The board of directors of The Pileus consists of 6 core members: Lyndsey Jameson, Mark Jameson, Patricia Pino, Connor Devine, Tony Weston and Christian Reilly. Our board share all core administrative tasks and create much of the content. We make decisions on content together, and help each other uphold ethical standards to ensure Reknr becomes a trusted source of news and commentary.
