News Club Live – The Media Fund Launches Debate Series – Thursday 31 May
News Club is a live debate show brought to you by The Media Fund. showcasing a new way of getting involved with news coverage. It will combine a panel of experts with an audience of news-hounds to dissect hot topics and the media dynamics behind them, taking apart what’s been reported and uncovering what has been left out.
The inaugural event, part of Sheffield’s Festival of Debate, is on Thursday 31 May, 7 pm at Roco Creative Co-op, 342 Glossop Rd. S10 2HW.
The News Club Live launch features an amazing line-up including hip-hop star Lowkey, Real Media’s Kam Sandhu and Media Diversified’s Maya Goodfellow.
A series of grassroots News Clubs are being set up around the country in Manchester, Dorset, London, and Liverpool, aiming to bring people together to critically evaluate news and issues.
The Media Fund’s Thomas Barlow said of the event, “News Club Live is going to be a really exciting event, as it’s not just important to follow the news, but also see what is going on behind the stories.”
